Description
The Gantt View displays Task objects in a timeline format, showing task durations, dependencies, and scheduling information. This view provides a visual representation of project timelines, making it easy to understand task sequencing, resource allocation, and project progress. Tasks are rendered as horizontal bars along a timeline, with their position and length representing start dates and durations. Dependencies between tasks are shown as connecting lines, illustrating which tasks must complete before others can begin.View Controls
Scale
Select the time scale for the timeline display. Options include milliseconds, seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, and years. The view automatically suggests an appropriate scale based on task durations and available screen space.Refresh
Recomputes task schedules and regenerates the Gantt chart. Use this after updating task properties, durations, or dependencies.Timeline Navigation
Use the horizontal scrollbar to navigate through time. The timeline headers show date/time markers appropriate for the selected scale.Task Information
Each task bar displays:- Task Name: Shown on or near the bar
- Duration: Represented by bar length
- Dependencies: Lines connecting dependent tasks
- Progress: Visual indicator if task includes completion percentage
Task Table
The left side of the Gantt view shows a table listing all tasks with key fields:- Task name
- Start date
- End date
- Duration
- Assigned resources
- Status
