Notification Bell
The notification bell icon is located in the top bar, next to your avatar. When you have unread notifications, a badge appears on the bell showing the count. Click the bell to open the notification dropdown — a quick-view panel that shows your most recent notifications without leaving the current page. From the dropdown you can:- Read notifications — click a notification to view it or follow its link
- Take action — some notifications include action buttons (e.g. Accept or Decline an invitation) that you can respond to directly from the dropdown
- Refresh — click the refresh icon in the dropdown header to check for new notifications
- View all — click the “View all” link at the bottom to open the full Notifications page
Notifications Page
The full Notifications page is available at https://davinci-app.com/~/notifications. You can also reach it from the navigation menu (hamburger menu in the top left). The Notifications page shows your complete notification history with pagination. It supports the same actions as the dropdown — you can respond to invitations, follow links, and dismiss notifications. Older notifications can be loaded by clickingLoad more at the bottom.
Notification Types
Invitations
Invitations are the most common actionable notification. You will receive notifications when:- Someone shares a project with you — you can accept or decline the project invitation
- You are invited to a team — accepting joins the team (a confirmation dialog explains what changes). See Teams - Joining a Team for details.
- Someone accepts or declines your invitation — an informational notification confirming the outcome
Account
Account notifications inform you about changes to your account:- Welcome — sent when you first create your account
- Role changed — sent when your role on a team is updated
- Account deactivated — sent if your account is deactivated by an administrator
System Alerts
System alerts are sent by the Davinci platform when something needs your attention:- System maintenance — scheduled maintenance windows or downtime
- Usage limit — warnings when you are approaching a credit or storage limit
Admin Broadcasts
Administrators can send announcements to all users or specific groups. These may include:- Official notices — important platform announcements
- Broadcasts — general announcements that may be informational, warnings, or critical alerts
How Notifications Work
- Notifications appear automatically — you do not need to refresh the page to see new ones. The badge count updates periodically.
- Actionable notifications (like invitations) remain visible until you respond or dismiss them.
- Informational notifications (like confirmations or announcements) can be dismissed by clicking on them.
- Once resolved or dismissed, notifications fade out of the dropdown but remain in your full notification history on the Notifications page.
