## Version 5.0.0 - CAD, Circuits & Simulation

Version 5.0 brings mechanical CAD, electronics design, and physics simulation into Davinci as first-class engineering workflows. Alongside them, this release delivers a rebuilt agent chat experience, a redesigned include system for sharing packages across projects, a new wiring view, refreshed workspace navigation, and a broad set of platform improvements.

### Circuits & PCB Design

Version 5.0 introduces electronics design, taking Circuit objects from schematic capture through board layout and out to 3D.

* Added schematic authoring in a three-pane view with code editor, schematic canvas, and output terminal
* Added component libraries loaded directly from KiCAD symbols and footprints, with clear feedback on missing symbols
* Added automatic schematic layout with improved line segments and multi-sheet handling
* Added PCB board layout with component placement, automatic routing, and fully custom manual routing
* Added multi-layer board support, BGA handling, via placement rules, and silkscreen reference editing
* Added support for complex board outline shapes
* Added design rule checks, including clearance verification
* Added SPICE simulation support for circuits
* Added board-to-3D conversion so circuits can be rendered as 3D geometry and placed in assemblies
* Added agent workflows for circuit generation, layout, and routing

### Simulation, Compiled

Version 5.0 rebuilds simulation around a fundamentally new paradigm: a simulation is no longer a single solve. Set up a study once — mesh plus parametric boundary conditions — compile it in minutes, and the entire solution space becomes a live result that answers in about a tenth of a millisecond per solve. Every answer is a true physics solution carrying a provable accuracy guarantee, turning what used to be an overnight batch process into an interactive design instrument.

* Added compiled solution spaces: declare parameters across loads, materials, and boundary conditions, compile once, then explore every combination of values instantly
* Added live 3D field exploration with a slider on every declared parameter — displacement, stress, and temperature fields update in real time, sweeping thousands of design points per second
* Added certified results: every solve carries a rigorous mathematical error bound, not a statistical confidence score or an AI approximation
* Added full-order verification solves that can be run at any point in the solution space to confirm the certified answer
* Added eight analysis types: static structural, steady thermal, coupled thermo-elastic, modal, harmonic, random vibration, shock response, and transient
* Added certified geometry families so dimensional CAD variations can be explored with the same instant response
* Solution spaces run identically in the browser and on the server, so exploration is immediate with no round trips to a solver
* Added quantities of interest for tracking derived engineering values live across the space
* Added a rebuilt simulation setup view integrated with the CAD environment, with parametric boundary condition authoring including a new bearing type
* Added agent support for setting up, compiling, querying, and verifying simulations
* Added clearer progress reporting and administrator controls for enabling simulation authoring

### Agent & Chat

* Rebuilt the [chat](/pages/editor/widgets/agent-chat) experience so switching between conversation tabs is instant
* Added conversation renaming, with new conversations named from the request that opened them
* Added a context window panel for inspecting exactly what the agent currently sees
* Added automatic context management for long conversations that trims older content while preserving recent turns
* Added dynamic model configuration options for conversations
* Improved plan rendering with collapsed plan updates and better feedback when a plan change fails
* Improved image handling, including sending images at proper fidelity and clamping oversized captures
* Cancelled queued messages are now restored to the composer instead of being lost
* Added progress reporting when importing legacy chat history

### Includes & Linked Projects

* Rebuilt the include system with fully resolved pointers and automatic migration of legacy projects
* Added linked projects with chained includes so shared packages resolve across a chain of projects
* All base packages are now treated as public for inclusion
* Added dynamic includes for public objects outside the source package
* Include updates and removals now apply together as a single synchronized action
